Mark Simms attended Oklahoma State University for three years majoring in Business Administration with a minor in Psychology. He left to serve in the Army. When he returned, he enrolled in Oklahoma State Tech in Okmulgee, Oklahoma where he got an associate degree in Bookkeeping and graduated on the Honor Roll.

In 1980 Mark founded Accent Pest Control, lnc., that has grown to be the largest independently owned company in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. He has served as vice-president of the Eastern Chapter of the Oklahoma Pest Control Association and is a member of the Bartlesville Chamber of Commerce, American Indian Chamber of Commerce, National Federation of Independent Business, National Pest Management Association, and The American Legion. Mark has served as a business consultant over the years helping small businesses get started or reorganize. In 1989 Mark founded Bartlesville Properties, Inc. which has houses and apartments for rent.

In 1994 Mark was elected and sworn to serve on the newly formed government of the Osage National Council. He served as 2nd Speaker on the council and the next two years he served as 1st Speaker. He was selected as an honored member of the Who's Who among American Executives 1994-1995, Who's Who among Outstanding Americans 1995-1996, and 2004-2005, and Who's Who in Executives and Professionals 1999-2000, 2001-2002, and 2006-2007.

Mark was selected from Oklahoma to be on George Bush's Presidential Business Commission during President Bush's administration. In 2003 Mark was selected as Business Man of the Year from Oklahoma by the Business Advisory Council and the National Republican Congressional Committee. The recognition was for top U. S. businessmen leaders who have successfully integrated business and financial success with the support of republican issues like tax cuts and decreased government regulation. These individuals were singled out to receive this prestigious award because of their unselfish commitment to the Business Advisory Council, and for standing strong in the face of economic adversity in 2002. Mark and other individuals from other states were recognized in the Wall Street Journal that year.

In 2006 Mark was elected to serve a six year term for the newly reorganized three part government as a congressman in the Legislative Branch on the first and second congress. During his term, he sat on the Commerce and Economic Development Committee, the Appropriation Committee, the Congressional Affairs Committee, and the Cultural Committee.


Linda S. Simms – Was born in Nowata, OK and went to school in Nowata, Pawhuska, and graduated High School in Wynona, OK. Linda has worked as an Assistant Manager of Braums in Arlington, TX. She has also worked as a Teller for the First National Bank of Pawhuska. Linda continued her work effort as a waitress at the Pawhuska Bakery, and as a Secretary for the Sears Catalog store in Pawhuska. Linda was a Clerk/Carrier for the United States Postal Service in Hominy, a Distribution Clerk in the Chickasha, OK, and Distribution Clerk in Pawhuska, OK. Linda is Owner and President of Accent Pest Control, Inc. She is also in charge of financial operations in Accent. Linda is a Member and past Recording Secretary, past Vice Regent, and past Regent of the National Society of the Daughter of the American Revolution in the Bartlesville, OK Chapter. She has sat on the board as an Assistant Secretary for the Aurora Chapter of the Red Heart Intertribal Cultural Center in Aurora, MO.
